why would you LET a bee sting you
Wish unnutting was this easy
Plot twist: >!it was killed by a bird only 2 minutes after this video was filmed…!<
>Bumble bees and carpenter bees do not die when they sting because they have smooth stingers, unlike honey bees, which have barbed stingers that get caught in mammal skin, tearing their abdomen and resulting in death. While only a small number of bee species, like the honey bee, die after stinging, many other species, including wasps, hornets, and most other bees, can sting multiple times without suffering fatal consequences.
Thanks, Google Gemini
You still got stung tho, so…
“ah fuck. This guy was definitely *not* a threat to the colony. Wouldn’t want to die for that, ha!”
Their barbs only get stuck in mammal skin, which is more elastic than other animals. They think it’s an adaptation since mammals are a greater threat to the hive, to ensure all of the venom is injected.
OP is a bird, so the stinger came out.
What did they do to make a honey bee mad 🤣
I think you’ve done your good deed for the day ❤️
“gently”
Do you still swell up? From the half sting.

I never knew that. I am amazed.

She has a really cute voice
Half stung is a job well done
That has to feel so uncomfortable though. Like the stinger is still inside you.

Practicing stinger retention
They’re evolving! This makes me happy
