That is dangerous to the prairie dog. He can easily fall and get hurt or hurt his teeth and lead to major problems down the road. They will automatically seek out higher ground to look for predators, but prairies do not have higher ground that has fall risks. Prairie dogs have horrible depth perception and he cannot tell how far that fall is. This is irresponsible behavior just for views.
I also hope that cage in the background isn’t his home. He needs way more room than that. Prairie dogs need a ferret cage for the amount of space they need.
