The Green Bay Packers’ first three weeks have been somewhat of a mixed bag. While they would certainly like to be 3-0 heading into their Sunday Night Football matchup with the Dallas Cowboys in Week 4, the Packers still have the look of a true contender.
Green Bay will look to rebound in a matchup that will be filled with storylines — with the most notable being Micah Parsons’ return to Dallas after spending the first four seasons of his career with the franchise. There is another notable, albeit far more obscure, storyline that points to the three-time All-Pro getting his revenge and the Packers improving to 3-1.
The Packers and Cowboys are set to meet for the 40th installment in one of the league’s most storied non-divisional rivalries. Green Bay holds a 22-17 lead in the series, including a 5-4 mark in the postseason, and are riding a five-game winning streak against Dallas.

More impressively, the Packers have never lost a game at AT&T Stadium since it opened in 2009, including winning their most recent Super Bowl title in the building.
Super Bowl XLV was Green Bay’s first time playing in “Jerry World,” as they beat the Pittsburgh Steelers 31-25 to capture their fourth Super Bowl title. They returned in 2013 and overcame a 26-3 halftime deficit to beat the Cowboys 37-36 with Matt Flynn at quarterback.

The 2016 postseason marked the Packers’ third trip to AT&T Stadium, as they won 34-31 after Aaron Rodgers and Jared Cook connected for a 36-yard pass on 3rd-and-20 to set Mason Crosby up for a game-winning 51-yard field goal as time expired.
The 2017 season saw the two teams once again meet at AT&T Stadium, with Green Bay winning 35-31 on a game-winning touchdown pass from Rodgers to Davante Adams with just 11 seconds on the clock.
The Packers returned to Dallas two years later, emerging victorious 34-24 as Aaron Jones tied a franchise record with four rushing touchdowns. Their most recent visit came in the 2023 postseason as they set a rivalry record in points scored during their 48-32 victory.
Green Bay’s dominance at AT&T Stadium goes further than its 6-0 record. They have also won as many postseason games — and one more Super Bowl — than the Cowboys have in their own stadium in half the games played. Will that continue on Sunday Night Football?
