For the benefit of my pets, I like this more than traditional fireworks (timing of when the event would occur)
Thinking about it, this likely produces no significant difference in terms of pollution relative to traditional fireworks as well; though what produces the vibrant colours is something I’d want to know more about and if my hunch is anything more than just that.

You people think strontium oxide (product of burning strontium carbonate, red firework), or chlorine gas and copper(I) chloride (product of burning Copper(II) Chloride, blue firework) are somehow healthier? Smoke is dangerous to breath, explosives are not good for your health, that’s life.
These are super cool, they are likely safer for you and the environment, but at the end of the day you are setting off explosives. It’s never going to be healthy, it’s never not going to be harmful to the environment. If you think fireworks are bad, so be it. I’ll look at the more major contributors though, and stay enjoying various types of fireworks.
