This list seems extremely tame compared to what the current Republican administration has been up to with putting international sanctions on U.S. Lawyers and other crazy retribution.
At the time, it seemed ridiculous. The big 3 networks were indomitable. But Nixon’s media consultant, Roger Ailes, was listening and saw the future in cable TV when nobody else did.
> Schorr “remained silent in the face of false suspicions that another CBS correspondent, Lesley Stahl, had given the (Pike) report to The Voice”.[2][11] Roger Mudd stated in his autobiography that Schorr personally spread rumors that Stahl had leaked the paper,[12] while Stahl in her autobiography stated that she was “flabbergasted” at the accusation from Schorr and the resulting furor within CBS as the executives were “deciding what to do” with her
Wouldn’t he have read through the list before reading it on air? What if deez nutz was on the list, or a name that he would have to look up the pronunciation?

Must have been a good journalist if a president was pissed at him
Sounds like he wasn’t wrong.
Of course, journalists are sort of the natural enemies of politicians.
Say whatever you want about Nixon, he knew how to make an enemy list
Literally predicts that the guy will be reading the list and adds him on pre-emptively
I like how Swamp Dogg made the enemies list. That was a deep cut, somebody in the Nixon admin had good taste (or just liked the album covers).

Nixon said, “We need our own media.”

And he was a bit of a piece of shit, too:

I can’t believe it’s been 15 years since he died. I enjoyed his weekly news summary on NPR Saturday mornings.
The scene in “The Game” where Daniel Schorr (on TV) starts talking to Michael Douglas is so epic. I miss hearing Daniel’s voice on NPR.

Right after Nicholas Van Orton’s name I’m sure
I bet he beemed with pride afterwards
Julia Louis-Dreyfus’s dad was on one of Nixon’s enemies lists too. And he had a newspaper copy of the list framed on his wall.
List of people who have eaten food I shit in
*they’re names on the list *
*their name*
Even if it wasn’t you 100% have to add yourself. That’s a Pulitzer guaranteed.
Aha!
*UNO Reverse Card
and that’s why… you always leave a note.
Cant wait for Trump’s enemies list to come out, but here’s some guesses:
-Rosie O’Donnell
-Trudeau
-Kimmel
-Letitia James
-law & democracy etc.
That’s such a wild coincidence—fame finds you in the strangest ways!
Decades later, silly acting stunts will still impress morons.
Well if it wasn’t already it was certainly about to be.
Arooooooo!
