It has to balance itself, as there is no place for a human to sit on it…

For those who enjoy getting shoved off their bike while cornering.

Next can we have a motorcycle that hugs me back and knows when I’m having a bad day

  7. Kennyvee98 より:

isn’t this something BMW and Honda had like 20 years ago?

  8. ArchSchnitz より:

There’s a lot of negative comments in here for something that I looked at and thought “get it below $15k and I’ll get one.”

Get me some weird futuristic steering on that bad boy and I’ll Cyberpunk my way around town all day. Get some neon light piping for the jacket, a modular helmet, a mall ninja katana… God, bet the women will swarm me.

Unlike now, where the people that come and goon over my bike are exclusively men older than me.

  9. DukeboxHiro より:

Now do it at 100kph. Also, how do you do a tight turn with those stabilisers on it?

  10. Sawadicrap2025 より:

When will this ever be available? I’ve seen this video for 4 years

  11. smblott より:

The miracle of bicycles and motorcycles is that we can easily balance them, without thinking about it, even at quite slow speeds.

It’s all very clever and all.

    But why is this needed?

  12. babagroovy より:

That bike is beautiful to me.

  13. I mean who is this bike for? And why on earth a person who doesn’t know balancing the bike would ride a bike?

  14. Saleri0 より:

    Are those training wheels?

  15. two_b_or_not2b より:

Yamaha also builds racing engines for those who didn’t know. For cars. Not motorcycles. Like the Lexus LFA engine known for its unique exhaust sound.

  16. Cute love taps… but what about actual force?

  17. The catch is… It only rides in a straight line as every time one tries to turn it, it corrects itself and goes straight

  18. le-quack より:

Leans and countersteers to corner the bike at any speed 12kph

Bike continues to go straight driving you into a wall.

  19. One step closer to lightcycle

I’m sure they’ll lock this feature behind a paywall just as the auto industry is starting to do.

  26. You know when I was like 8 and imagined in the 2020s we’d have flying cars everywhere and stuff and was disappointed that basically none of that stuff was true as we got there. I’m thinking now that we definitely could have all that crazy, wacky stuff, just nobody wants to make it. It’s only in these rare moments when we see people actually make stuff that looks like it’s straight out of a sci-fi movie. I realise we have alot of crazy tech and stuff, but its all so niche, or unavailable to the public, or just flat out not mass produced due to a lack of corporate interest. We need more stiff like this everywhere, even if it really doesn’t serve a whole lot of purpose.

  27. cal-brew-sharp より:

He needs hair like the Honda Guy.

  28. mikaball より:

I think I have seen some of these in a movie…

  29. repulsive-ardor より:

NO NO NO NO! This is how Moto-Terminators are made.

  30. Not sure why there’s so much criticism on this? This isn’t some mass-produced production model… It’s just a prototype. Like, a very VERY early prototype.

People asking why this is needed are completely failing to see that this is how innovation is done. In any mass produced item that we have now, innovation was probably done incrementally, with features and developments that were made and added on or cut out or changed before being finalized.

It’s pretty idiotic to assume that this is some finalized product and question why this is needed in the first place. That’s the whole point of R&D.

  31. horseshandbrake より:

    Looks uncomfortable as fuck

  32. if you need this tech to ride a motorcycle you will be dead within the week

  33. desrevermi より:

Ah, so it works at 2mph in a straight line. Alrighty, then.

  34. Wonder how it rides with a human on it.. regardless of these upright gyros, what’s the point?
