You have a local anaesthetic (of course), and some valium. You’d think taking hair from the donor area might feel like little pinpricks of pain, or a slight cutting motion. Oh no.
It’s ripping. Tugging. You can feel it and (I think) hear it. You’re feeling someone ripping flesh off the back of your head. You’re high as a high kite on the valium so you’re sitting there smiling ‘this is weeeeird. They’re ripping my head. Wheeee’.
There’s a scene in one of the Hannibal movies(?) where someone is talking while someone is eating from their head, still freaks me out to this day.
I just started at a dermatology and hair restoration clinic, this process is wild and interesting, hope you like your results and good luck with your new hair!

I did a hair transplant in Turkey, more than 3.5 years ago, and I remember those. They had less blood and were tidier/more organized.
And today I’m glad I did that transplant, I feel psychologically better.
