This video should be from den Hallig train line [Dagebüll–Oland–Langeneß](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dageb%C3%BCll%E2%80%93Oland%E2%80%93Langene%C3%9F_island_railway)

The [German Wikipedia](https://de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halligbahn_Dageb%C3%BCll%E2%80%93Oland%E2%80%93Langene%C3%9F) has more information on the line.

That’s a no from me, dawg.

  9. Imagine building this.. The ingenuity and bravado of these men long gone in the past. Just very cool to see things like this.

I assume this is at high tide and there are many times where it doesn’t looks so dramatic?

Grindelwald will *Never* break out of **There…**

  13. Whoever designed this should be running Deutsche Bahn. There are waves crashing over that track, while in Berlin it seems like the trains fällt aus if a swallow poops on a wire.

    Puffing Tom!

  15. It’s crazy to think that people built this. That means they had to endure that harsh weather alongside being completely soaked with freezing salt water the whole time.

  16. Tom Scott did a short video about it. It’s only a few minutes, watch it here 😊

    Very narrow gauge?

A little taller and it would be out of the water!

Tom Scott did a great video about these. Many of tbe people living on these Hallig islands own a personal railcar to visit the mainlamd for supplies.

  25. this feels incredibly dangerous but probably gorgeous to ride on and look out the window

  26. tuff_gong より:

    No thanks

  27. Truetex3 より:

Crazy that you can’t see where the tracks end.

  33. How do ships not clobber that thing?

  34. TheJawnamoly より:

That’s so badass! It’s always mind blowing to me how people were/are able to build crazy shit like this.

  35. And this is low tide! They must race to the other side before they’re flooded!

  36. Guavadoodoo より:

Rail maintenance is quite something, I’d guess.
