How do y’all live and survive in a place like this? I got caught in one when travelling in Colorado and my rental was completely wrecked. Luckily, insurance covered it all but damn that was traumatizing.
It sounded and felt like bullets flying everywhere.
Are the homes in these areas even built to withstand this? Do you need a new roof after each storm?
Now imagine this storm hitting an airport. Last year Calgary intl. was, 2.8 billion in damage. It grounded 10% of Westjet’s fleet for damage, plus huge damage to the terminal, other airlines, and parking lots of cars.
Gotta love Hardy Plank. Just so you know it’s garbage sold to mindless dipshits. Real wood siding would never do that. I build houses. That shit is garbage. A 10-year-old could ruin your house with a basketball if he wanted to.
I worked in Kearney in 2007 rebuilding power lines from a tornado and while we were there they had a thunderstorm that dropped softball sized hail. It blew the windows and sunroofs out of cars and just smashed the shit out of the bodies of the cars and trucks. Although we had a great time after work you can have that weather.

And I bet insurance will not cover any of that damage.

State Farm and all state will still deny your claim.
When this happened to us, we sat on the porch just watching it. You have no idea how loud this is, even indoors.

Roofers be comin’ to your door nonstop.
Oh man, I forgot about Nebraska.
They need an American version of Tofu Dreg to describes the low-quality materials American houses are built from.
The sound of insurance rates skyrocketing too the moon.
And that’s why you have home owner’s insurance and car insurance.
